My involvement with Athletes in Action began in 2011 as a varsity track and field athlete. During my time on campus I regularly attended Monday meetings, served on the AIA student leadership team and met often with AIA mentors who encouraged, challenged and supported me in my faith. When I made the move from track to bobsleigh in 2014 AIA continued to support me providing community while abroad and fostering my spiritual development as I competed for Canada on the World Stage. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that over the years God has used AIA to change my life! This season I have decided to take a step back from sport and will be at the University of Alberta as a student and part-time intern with AIA. I am so excited for the opportunity to intentionally connect with and pour into student athletes, sharing my knowledge, experience and faith with the them just like how over the lest decade so many AIA staff poured into me!
